A Mr. Coffee coffee maker can automatically make you some fresh coffee each morning. However, like any other coffee machine, Mr.Coffee maker needs to be cleaned from time to time. This is a very important task as it will prevent any minerals building up inside your coffee maker which would greatly affect the taste of your drink. You should perform this task on a weekly basis so that your coffee will always taste fresh.
So how do we know that it is the time to clean our Mr.Coffee machine? You just have to look for certain signs. Well one of them is increased brewing time. If your coffee machine takes a lot longer to brew you coffee than it usually does then that is the sign of your coffee machine being dirty. Another sign that will let you know that your coffeemaker needs to be cleaned is more steam than usual coming out from the machine. It is important that you pay attention to these kinds of sings.
So now we get to the part of actually cleaning our machine. First of all you will need to remove any leftover coffee inside the pot. Then rinse it with tap water. After that fill the pot with vinegar and pour it into the water chamber. Then turn on Mr.Coffee maker onto a brewing cycle and let the vinegar clean any built up minerals in the tubes and water chamber. Then after about 5 minutes turn off the coffee-making machine and let the vinegar sit in the pot for about 30 more minutes. After the 30 minutes are up, pour the vinegar out of the pot and rinse the pot with the water. Then just run the Mr.Coffee for about three times with only water in the pot to remove any lime scale remaining.
Mr.Coffee Maker is like any other coffee machine, if it is not kept clean then eventually it will become useless. So remember that it is very important to clean your coffee maker from time to time as it will increase its life span and continue to make you the freshest café every morning.
